UrBC, Yekaterinburg, September 4, 2018. 400 school-leavers got enrolled on ChelPipe Group’s Future of White-Coated Metallurgy Corporate Training Program this year; this is the highest number of new students in the education project’s entire history, the Group’s press service reports.
The eighth enrollment campaign covered nine different blue-collar job qualifications to be mastered at Pervouralsk Metallurgical School and Pervouralsk Polytechnic in Sverdlovsk Region. 758 applicants competed for the 400 student openings available. Automobile Maintenance & Repairs proved the most popular training course the candidates applied for this year. Metal Treatment Under Pressure and Machine-Building Technology were No.2 and No.3, respectively, with more than two applicants competing per opening.
‘Most of the candidates who applied for our Future of White-Coated Metallurgy Program in 2018 are high school students with nine-year secondary education diplomas with impressive GPAs. For one, applicants who went for Metal Science & Thermal Treatment of Metals had the average score of four out of five on their school diplomas. This means they probably made a very informed and thought-through decision as to where to go on with their studies, as to why they needed practice-oriented. dual-education training, and as to whether they wanted to work at the Group’s member enterprises later on,’ says Head of ChelPipe Group’s Future of White-Coated Metallurgy Program Department Diana Matveyeva.
