UrBC, Yekaterinburg, August 23, 2019. EVRAZ West Siberian Metallurgical Plant (ZSMK) can now make 130x130 mm section units, EVRAZ Holding Siberia’s Corporate Communications Center reports.

‘In order to start making the units, additional equipment had to get adjusted onto the plant’s CC machine,’ the company says.

The new section units are meant to get exported to rolling plants in Southeast Asia, South America, Central America, and Africa.

‘The reconstruction of the plant’s continuous casting machine back in 2016 has meant we could master new steel-teeming techniques, increase the speed of the steel-teeming process, and enhance the CC machine’s productivity to 2,200,000,000 kg of cast section items a year,’ EVRAZ representatives say.

Now EVRAZ ZSMK also makes 150x150 mm and 150x200 mm section units, which also enjoy good demand on the global market.
