The representatives of the industrial sector and members of the Russian Armed Forces spoke about the new ways business and the military could work together, about the legal issues relating to continuous education programs, and the ideal draftees of the future at a round table discussion on the army draft and job training.
ChelPipe Group’s Deputy Director-General Mikhail Ivanov gave a talk on the Group’s cooperation with the Russian Defense Ministry and a number of educational establishments throughout the last seven years. The cooperation program allows students on the Group’s Future of White-Coated Metallurgy Corporate Training Program to serve their subsequent army terms at the Group-supported regiments in Sverdlovsk Region, Chelyabinsk Region, and Samara Region. The project involves businesses, the army, and the society as collaborating agents, got approved by Russian President Vladimir Putin, and is currently unique to Russia.
195 ‘white-coated metallurgists’ have served their army terms at the Group-supported regiments since 2012. All of them now work at the Group’s member enterprises. ChelPipe Group has invested more than RUB 160m in repairs and equipment upgrades at the regiments in question in the last seven years as well.
