ChelPipe Groupís Alumni to Serve Army Term Close to Home

UrBC, Chelyabinsk, October 09, 2018. ChelPipe Group, A.V. Yakovlev Chelyabinsk State Industrial/Humanitarian Technical School, and Russiaís Defense Ministry signed a cooperation agreement to make sure the school alumni who completed ChelPipe Groupís Future of White-Coated Metallurgy Corporate Training Program can serve their obligatory army term close to home, in MoDís Regiment 14 in the Southern Urals. This yearís first ten alumni will be taking their oath as soon as late 2018, the company press service says.

The trilateral agreement stemmed from Russian President Vladimir Putinís respective request to the MoD. The agreement means ChelPipe Group will retain its prospective skilled workers; it is also expected to make the young menís patriotic education more efficient and to enhance the prestige of the universal draft system.

MoDís Regiment 14 is now the second army unit where ChelPipe Groupís corporate training program alumni can serve their army terms. In 2012, the Group signed a similar public-private partnership agreement with the Ministry of Defense, Sverdlovsk Region Government, and Pervouralsk Metallurgical School to allow their program alumni to serve their terms in Gorny Shchit, Sverdlovsk Region. 221 program alumni, 70% of whom are now employed with ChelPipe Group, have served their army terms there in the last six years.
