UrBC, Chelyabinsk, October 09, 2018. ChelPipe Group, A.V. Yakovlev Chelyabinsk State Industrial/Humanitarian Technical School, and Russia’s Defense Ministry signed a cooperation agreement to make sure the school alumni who completed ChelPipe Group’s Future of White-Coated Metallurgy Corporate Training Program can serve their obligatory army term close to home, in MoD’s Regiment 14 in the Southern Urals. This year’s first ten alumni will be taking their oath as soon as late 2018, the company press service says.

The trilateral agreement stemmed from Russian President Vladimir Putin’s respective request to the MoD. The agreement means ChelPipe Group will retain its prospective skilled workers; it is also expected to make the young men’s patriotic education more efficient and to enhance the prestige of the universal draft system.

MoD’s Regiment 14 is now the second army unit where ChelPipe Group’s corporate training program alumni can serve their army terms. In 2012, the Group signed a similar public-private partnership agreement with the Ministry of Defense, Sverdlovsk Region Government, and Pervouralsk Metallurgical School to allow their program alumni to serve their terms in Gorny Shchit, Sverdlovsk Region. 221 program alumni, 70% of whom are now employed with ChelPipe Group, have served their army terms there in the last six years.
