MMK, Siemens AG Sign Supply Contract

UrBC, Magnitogorsk, May 23, 2019. Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) and Siemens AG’s daughter enterprise OOO Siemens signed a three-year contract for the supply of electric equipment to the former.
According to MMK’s Information & PR Department, the two companies will work together through OOO Siemens’s online store Industry Mall. MMK’s tech experts will be able to select the necessary equipment using a configuring tool and customize their order with extra options such as additional protection appliances, more engine sensors, and so on.
All the order-placement routines will now rely on DiaDoc e-document flow system and will take under 48 hours to complete, whereas the regular-mode coordination of technicalities and signing of specification normally takes two to three weeks.
‘The plant’s new approach to working with OOO Siemens means our tech experts can now place orders for new equipment makes with improved parameters and discuss and edit drawings online. The two companies’ tech professionals will now be able to communicate directly within the system to ensure the best outcome that both parties are happy with,’ MMK says.
The three-year agreement also covers certain discounts on every product category. The German company’s technicians coordinated a workshop for customers in MMK’s departments on how to connect to OOO Siemens’s system directly. 82 tech experts working at MMK have been connected to the system by now.
