Sverdlovsk Region’s Egg, Meat Output Goes Down

The amount of beef and eggs produced in Sverdlovsk Region in January and February 2019 declined by 6% (from 41,500,000 kg down to 39,000,000 kg) and by 0.7% (from 251.9 million units down to 250.2 million units), respectively, against one year earlier, Sverdlovskstat reports.
According to Sverdlovskstat, the amount of milk produced in the area rose by 1%, from 110,400,000 kg up to 11,500,000 kg.
Local agribusinesses produced 6.6% less meat (with output dropping from 36,200,000 kg down to 33,800,000 kg), while their egg output decreased by 0.6% (from 249.1 million units down to 247.5 million units) and their milk output increased by 0.8% (from 94,300,000 kg up to 95,100,000 kg).
Private, personal-use-mostly farms produced 2% less meat (with output dropping from 5,000,000 kg down to 4,900,000 kg), whereas their milk output decreased by 1.7% (from 11,900,000 kg up down to 11,700,000 kg). Their egg output remained at 1.5 million units.
Larger farms produced 11.9% more milk (with output rising from 4,200,000 kg up to 4,700,000 kg) and the same amount of meat as last year (300,000 kg), while their egg output dropped by 7.7% (from 1.3 million units down to 1.2 million units).
