The vehicles will have their Hermes SCN coding adjusted.
The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter V-Class (447) makes sold since January 2019 are being called off due to possible airbag issues: ‘the plastic cover behind which the front passenger seat airbag is located might get detached when the airbag triggering unit gets activated. Moreover, the cover or parts of the cover might end up inside the car and cause injury to driver and passengers,’ Rosstandart says.
The automobiles will all have their control panels replaced.
All the repairs will be done at no extra cost to the car owners. Mercedes-Benz RUS’s authorized representatives are going to inform all the owners of the cars that are being recalled.
