MMK Supports IT Contest in Magnitogorsk

UrBC, Magnitogorsk, April 9, 2019. Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) sponsored the annual local IT contest for schoolchildren this year as usual, MMK’s press service reports.

The awarding ceremony for finalists and contest participants took place at S. Ordzhonikidze Culture Palace; Director of Personal Human Resource Training Center Andrei Kozlovsky, MMK’s leading HR expert Konstantin Klinov, and head of Metallurg Charity Foundation’s Children’s Department Nadezhda Likhova all thanked the contestants for their input and wished them every success.

The IT contest is open to students of secondary and vocational schools aged 8-17. This year, more than two hundred young people took part in the competition. They all competed in the 8-13 age group or in the 14-17 age group in Programming, App Development, Blogging, 3D Modeling, Robotics, and Design. Around a hundred contestants got selected for the final round.

All the finalists received participation certificates and small prizes; all the winners received winner’s diplomas and valuable prizes. First-prize winners will also be able to undergo a training course at Personal Human Resource Training Center free of charge. The first-prize winners in the older group will also get recommended for Viktor Rashnikov’s Magnitogorsk’s Gifted Children Program.
