UBRD Group Issues €17m to Belarus-Based Banks

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, November 21, 2018. The Ural Bank for Reconstruction & Development (UBRD) Finance Group co-organized and contributed to three syndicated loans to Belarus-based banks this year, thus providing its partners with €17m (more than RUR 1.2bn) all in all, the bank’s press service reports.

UBRD Finance Group’s member organization VUZ Bank financed Belarus-based ZAO Alfa Bank in February 2018: €2m out of the €29m and $6 offered through the syndicated loan. Svyaz-Bank, Otkritie FC Bank, Expobank, Gazprombank, Bank UralSib, AK Bars Bank, Zenit Bank, and Alef Bank all contributed to the deal as well.

In April 2018, VUZ Bank also offered €5m to the Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus. Otkritie FC Bank, AK Bars Bank, Bank UralSib, Nefteprombank, Bank Finservice, and Novikombank also joined the syndicate on this deal. The overall loan amount came to €50m.

Finally, VUZ Bank gave €10m to Belgrazprombank in June 2018 as one of the creditors in a syndicated loan coordinated by Gazprombank and joined by Otkritie FC Bank, Novikombank, Russian Regional Development Bank, Eurasian Development Bank, Sovcombank, AK Bars Bank, Svyaz Bank, and AO J&T Bank. The overall loan amount reached €117.5m.
