UrBC, Moscow, November 8, 2018. The Russian Government might support certain large businesses in case they get hit by the U.S. sanctions yet again, Prime refers to Russian Prime Minister Dmitri Medvedev as telling reporters.
Now the U.S. authorities announced on Tuesday that Russia apparently failed to comply with their chemical and biological weapons control regulations. According to State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert, they ‘intend to proceed in accordance with the terms of the CBW ACT, which directs the implementation of additional sanctions,’ as it could not be certified that Russia met Washington’s demands in the Skripal investigation.
‘I’ve commented on the anti-Russia sanctions a number of times before, so I have absolutely nothing to add; we’ve managed to adjust to different kinds of limitations,’ Medvedev said when referring to a potential second tranche of U.S. sanctions.
Medvedev also said the limitations in question could serve as an opportunity to improve Russia’s economy and set up new business mechanisms.
