UrBC, Yekaterinburg, October 16, 2018. Customers based in the Urals are turning to cashless payments increasingly more often when it comes to the entertainment sector: every one in fifteen purchases paid for by MegaFon Card pertains to theater/movie/concert tickets, the company’s press service reports.
‘According to our analysts’ data, 71% of customers who bought the tickets last month are men. Some of them are true record-setters: one Sverdlovsk Region-based customer bought tickets to 57 different events in the course of one month. This is nearly three times as many as the number of events booked by the next largest-scale customer (21 events),’ the press service says.
MegaFon Ural’s customers tend to pay for movie tickets most often (this category makes up almost 50% of entertainment-related card transactions). Concert tickets (33%) come next, followed by tickets for a play. Entry tickets to museums are currently the least popular category.
