MMK Upgrades Building Materials Facility

UrBC, Magnitogorsk, August 10, 2018. MMK Group’s MMK Trading House completed first-stage upgrades of its sandwich panels-making facility in Shchelkovo, Moscow Region, MMK Information & PR Department reports.

The goal is to boost labor productivity, increase high quality produce output, and reduce the product’s prime cost. Working together with the Italian company MAGMA, the company employees launched a new gluing unit in early August. The new unit improves gluing quality and thus allows the manufacturer meet the highest global standards.

MMK Trading House’s site in Shchelkovo, Moscow Region, is a large industrial facility that manufactures profiled flooring units, metal tile for roofing purposes, non-standard precast components, siding units, plancers, and sandwich panels. The plant’s capacity comes to 100,000,000 kg of goods a year. The sandwich panels are made on the Australian equipment Hilling. The panel output stood at 5,000+ last year alone, with 25% bought by MMK to build its own production facilities. For one MMK Trading House’s sandwich panels are now used to put up a new sintering plant, sheet-rolling facilities, and a new ticket office at Arena Metallurg.
