MMK Trading House Wins Russian Union of Metal and Steel Suppliers Award

UrBC, Magnitogorsk, November 17, 2017. Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works’ MMK Trading House and its subsidiaries all won prizes in the all-Russian contests coordinated by the Russian Union of Metal and Steel Suppliers, MMK Information, PR & Advertising Department reports.

The awarding ceremony took place during the fall Metal Week in Moscow.

The Union holds three nationwide contests every year in July-October: Russia’s Best Metal Base, Russia’s Best Metal Center, and Russia’s Best Sales Network. 130 companies competed in the contests this year.

‘Russia’s Best Metal Base Contest got the greatest number of applications: seventy metal-selling businesses with the best practices of warehouse trading took part in the competition this year. Several of MMK Trading House branches won prizes there. Our metal bases in Novgorod, Irkutsk, and Nizhniy Novgorod got laureate’s diplomas as well.

Additionally, MMK Trading House’s Ufa subsidiary proved one of the best bases in the Volga Region. Besides, MMK Trading House Novosibirsk and MMK Trading House Samara were among the country’s best metal bases in terms of customer service, MMK Trading House Krasnodar was among the best in terms of sales, and MMK Trading House Yekaterinburg was among the best in terms of performance efficiency,’ the Department says.

As for Russia’s Best Metal Center Contest, thirty-six companies dealing in scrap metal recycling and rolled metal services submitted their applications. MMK Trading House’s branch in Shchelkovo, Moscow Oblast, won an award for the record amount of scrap metal it had recycled.

Finally, twenty-seven companies competed in Russia’s Best Sales Network Contest this year. MMK Trading House was the first prize.
