MMK METIZ’s Share of Home Market Reaches 22%

UrBC, Magnitogorsk, June 26, 2018. MMK Group’s member enterprise MMK METIZ increased its share of the Russian market by 2% in 2017 against one year earlier (total sales: 352,000,000 kg); the news was announced at the general shareholder meeting recently, MMK press service reports.
Additionally, the company exported 2.8% more goods last year compared with the year 2016. The country’s largest metal goods manufacturers (all members of metallurgical holdings) sold around 2,000,000,000 kg of goods last year, which is comparable with the figures for the year 2016. The share of MMK METIZ amounted to 22%. Steel wire and flux cored wire varieties proved the most popular products in 2017.
MMK METIZ’s sales policy resulted in supplying 435,150,000 kg of ready goods to customers last year. The company’s local sales structure remained essentially the same as before, with the largest sales figures in Central, Ural, and Volga Federal Districts. The company sold 352,000,000 kg of goods on the home market last year and exported 83,000,000 kg (exports thus amounted to 19% of all sales). Kazakhstan, where 53% of all exported goods get delivered, remains the company’s priority foreign market.
