South Urals CCI Wins Chelyabinsk Region Legislative Assembly Award
1 June 2018 (09:43)
UrBC, Chelyabinsk, June 1, 2018. An awarding ceremony for agents of business support and development took place at Chelyabinsk Region Legislative Assembly this week. Representatives of the South Urals Chamber of Commerce & Industry were among those to receive the award, which has been given out for the third time this year.
‘The Assembly’s business development award was set up in 2015 to distinguish the most proactive individuals who are both successful businesspeople and energetic contributors to the businesses’ and government’s interactions,’ the CCI’s press service reports.
Once a year, the legislative assembly deputies single out the entrepreneurs who are members of the South Urals CCI and use the structure to lobby the local business community’s interests. These are people who do pro bono work for the Chamber’s various committees and coordinate regular meetings between businessmen and women and government officials to dwell on the relevant problems, produce expert examinations of normative acts, and come up with economic and business proposals.
There are sixteen different committees operating within the Chamber at the moment, with around two hundred active members all in all. Anyone who joins the Chamber is eligible to contribute to a committee’s proceedings and operation.
