UrBC, Moscow, May 22, 2018. To ensure maximum air security for Russian cities hosting the World Football Championship 2018 games, as well as for the teams’ accommodation and training facilities, extra limits were set on air travel by Rosaviation for the period between June 1 and June 17, 2018, Rosaviation’s press service reports.
‘In case an air carrier does need to use the restricted-area air space on June 1-July 17, 2018, a permission needs to be obtained from the local interdepartmental operation headquarters in charge of security at the FIFA 2018 World Football Championship in Russia,’ the press service says.
The air carrier needs to apply for the restricted-area flight permission through Russia’s Joint ATM System.
