UrBC, Magnitogorsk, April 26, 2018. Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) is going to host a constituency-level Best Job Safety Social Partnership Project Contest, MMK Information, PR & Advertising Department reports.

Among the contestants are teams from Chelyabinsk Region’s ore mining and metallurgical enterprises and organizations that have a trade union that is a member of Russia’s Mining & Metallurgical Trade Union Association. There must be a job safety expert and a trade union representative for job safety on the team. There will be four rounds to this contest: computer-based job safety tests, a facility inspection/report-writing simulation, first-aid simulation, and individual protective gear testing.

The scores will be presented both for individual contestants and entire teams in the following categories: Best Job Safety Team in Chelyabinsk Region’s Mining & Metallurgical Sector, Best Job Safety Expert, and Best Authorized Job Safety Representative.

The event is coordinated by Chelyabinsk Region division of Russia’s Mining & Metallurgical Trade Union Association. The contest is held around International Workers' Memorial Day (April 28) and in celebration of Chelyabinsk Region division of Russia’s Mining & Metallurgical Trade Union Association’s 70th anniversary.
