MMK To Host Trade Union Contest

UrBC, Magnitogorsk, May 16, 2018. Russia’s Mining & Metallurgical Trade Union is going to coordinate the local round of its trade union group organizers’ contest on the premises of Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK), the company’s Information, PR & Advertising Department reports.

The Union’s Best Trade Union Group Organizer Contest is threefold: first, a series of competitions was held directly within companies’ trade union organizations through May 1; next, the second round will be held within Russia’s Mining & Metallurgical Trade Union’s territorial divisions on May 1-July 1; finally, the third round will get coordinated by the Central Committee on July 1-20.

‘The first stage of the contest involved quite a few proactive trade union organizations in Chelyabinsk Region. As for MMK Group, forty different employees from the Group’s various member enterprises competed in the contest in a number of categories for trade union group organizers. They all work for the Group’s companies and municipal enterprises whose employees are members of the Union. The fourteen first-round finalists will be representing MMK Group’s trade union organization at the next level,’ the Department says.
