UrBC, Magnitogorsk, May 7, 2018. MMK Group hosted the regional Best Social Partnership/Job Safety Contest on its site in Magnitogorsk, the company press service reports.
‘The city gathered together workers from the local mining and metallurgical enterprises (the best job safety experts and trade union representatives for job safety) on the eve of International Workers' Memorial Day. Representatives of both the employers and the trade union organizations demonstrated excellent skills and expertise and proved outstanding team members with great understanding of job safety’s importance,’ the press service says.
The contestants came from Chelyabinsk, Asha, Kyshtym, Karabash, and Bakal, Magnitogorsk locals, including MMK Group’s delegation, also competed in the event.
‘This isn’t the first time we have coordinated a contest like this. This is very positive experience, and choosing MMK’s site was no coincidence: the plant has great and highly efficient job safety routines and regulations within the framework of social partnership schemes. We need to help develop and reinforce these routines, too,’ says Chair of Mining & Metallurgical Trade Union Association’s Chelyabinsk Region division Yuri Goranov.
