UrBC, Yekaterinburg, April 16, 2018. EVRAZ Holding’s Nizhniy Tagil Integrated Metallurgical Works (NTMK) funded the electronic equipment needed at Nizhniy Tagil Live-In School 1 as part of the Good Deed Relay Race, EVRAZ Holding’s PR Department reports.
Workers from the plant’s Senior Power Engineer’s Department gave the school a multi-functional appliance that works as a scanner/printer/photocopier and two 100+ cm TV screens. They also repaired the metalwork and turning equipment in the arts and crafts classroom and replaced the sockets and power circuits there. Following the school administration’s request, they made a fence and a lifting gate that will be placed around the school premises.
During one of their meetings with the schoolchildren, the workers played some sports games with them and presented the children with a number of footballs and volleyballs. As a way of saying thanks, one of the students made a woven textile picture for the visitors.
‘People from all the subsections of the Senior Power Engineer’s Department, be it the heat and power substation, the electric lab, the oxygen compressor shop, or the water supply section, were all willing to help this live-in school. I am delighted to be working with kind and sympathetic people. I do believe this isn’t the last time we are doing something for the school,’ says EVRAZ NTMK Senior Power Engineer and Nizhniy Tagil Duma deputy Denis Koryakin.
