UBRD to Help Debtors Find Jobs

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, April 13, 2018. The Ural Bank for Reconstruction & Development (UBRD) is going to help its debtors find new jobs: the bank can send their CVs to companies that use the bank’s recruiting and hiring services.

According to the bank’s Debt Collection Department, 43% of all non-payers report they fail to make their loan repayments because of employment problems (redundancy, a pay cut, and arrears of wages).

‘Given this statistics, the UBRD decided to launch a new project to have its debtors submit their CVs and then to send these CVs to its business customers with new job openings,’ the bank’s press service reports.

‘We took a strategic decision in 2015 to improve our customer service and enhance customer loyalty. Clearly, any borrowing party may face some difficulties at some point in their life, so our goal is to help them cope with the problem. We cannot guarantee a person who’s lost their job will find a new one through us: it is the employer who makes the decision, after all. However, we can help in certain respects. This is mutually beneficial for both parties involved: once a debtor has turned into a solvent customer again, our loan book starts to look much better,’ says UBRD Asset Quality Director Viktor Chervanev.
