MegaFon Introduces M-Signature
11 April 2018 (09:12)
UrBC, Yekaterinburg, April 11, 2018. MegaFon is the first telecommunications provider to introduce mobile e-signature on the market, MegaFon Ural’s press service reports.
The m-signature can be used to sign legally binding papers right on your smartphone anywhere in the world where you have an Internet connection.
‘The new service comprises an e-signature certificate issued by MegaFon’s Authorization Center and a special SIM card with a piece of software that allows you to use your e-signature in IT systems. The signature got certified by government authorities and meets all the legal standards.
Signing a paper is very easy and only takes a click: a pop-up message is sent to the smartphone/tablet owner that gives a concise preview of the paper that needs to get signed. The device owner needs to decide if they want to ‘Decline’ or ‘Accept’ the message and enter their PIN. The solution will prove particularly handy for those who travel a lot: you can use your m-signature even if your phone is roaming,’ the press service says.
The price — RUR 1,000 — is a much better offer than most of the e-signature solutions available on the market up to now.
