UrBC, Yekaterinburg, November 29, 2019. MegaFon launched MegaFon-CARGO, a new automated freight forwarding service with a fully functional e-document flow that makes it possible to process any kind of shipment (from a small parcel to a large truck) all over Russia, the telecom company’s press service reports.

The platform was designed by Mail.ru Group.

‘MegaFon-CARGO creates an impartial rating of freight forwarding companies, comes up with delivery price comparisons, and helps users coordinate a multiple-freight-forwarder shipment. Thanks to Personnel Control, Vehicle Pool Control, and Cargo Control solutions, you can track the shipment of any consignment online. The platform also lets you sign your power of attorney paper and your bill of lading with a mobile e-signature. 14,000 shipments have been processed through the platform during the trial run period alone,’ the company says.

‘MegaFon-CARGO combines elements of a TMS, a marketplace, an aggregator service, and a cloud solution and is a logistics ecosystem suitable for cargo owners operating on any scale. MegaFon-CARGO takes care of the entire logistics process, including transportation, accounting, warehousing, freight forwarding, and insurance. The platform does not act as a shipping agent but rather provides you with a convenient tool that lets you save up to 40% on delivery costs and halve the amount of effort it takes your logistics coordinators to select and do a background check on a freight forwarder,’ says Head of IoT at MegaFon Pavel Ivanchenko.
