Sverdlovsk Region Sees 1.5% More Loss-making Companies in 2017

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, March 1, 2018. Sverdlovsk Region-based companies’ consolidated profits (excluding small businesses) amounted to RUR 257.1bn in January-December 2017; this was 10.6% more than in 2016, Sverdlovskstat reports.
1,101 local businesses made RUR 279.2bn in profits, which exceeded the figures for the year 2016 by 5.7% and amounted to 7.6% of revenues stemming from sale of goods and services (compared with 8.5% in January-December 2016).
403 businesses incurred RUR 22.1bn in losses, which was 30.2%, or RUR 9.6bn less than in January-December 2016; the overall share of loss-making companies on the market increased from 25.3% up to 26.8%.
