Russia: Share of Loss-making Businesses Up 30.9%

UrBC, Moscow, September 27, 2017. 14,500 Russian companies ended up with net losses in the first half of 2017, which amounted to 30.9% of all national businesses (excluding small enterprises, banks, insurance companies, and state-run organizations), Rosstat’s data indicate.
This figure is 0.5% larger than that for one year earlier. The loss-making companies consolidated net loss reached RUR 1.1437 trillion.
32,300 Russian companies finished the first half of the year off with profits (RUR 6.7335 trillion all in all). The national businesses’ balanced financial result came to RUR 5.5898 trillion in the first half of 2017, which was 6.7% less than one year previously.
