Sverdlovsk Oblast: Medical Service-Related Complaints Up 26%

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, November 3, 2017. Sverdlovsk Oblast-based Russians placed 469 complaints relating to quality and safety of medical services they received with the local division of Roszdravnadzor in the nine months of the year.
This was 26% more than one year earlier, Roszdravnadzor reports.
The overall number of queries rose by 32.7%, from 660 yo 876. In addition to complaining about the quality of medical services, locals also asked questions about state-funded medicines and distribution of prescription drugs, medical goods, and medical appliances.
There are 23.67 queries per every 100,000 residents in Sverdlovsk Oblast at the moment. This is more than the country’s average (17.25). In 23% of cases, the queries concern private, rather than state-funded, clinics.
