UrBC, Yekaterinburg, October 30, 2017. Rector of I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Petr Glybochko met with a number of Ural experts to talk over the issues of medical training in Russia; he also got acquainted with the details of a project to put up a medical cluster in Yekaterinburg’s Akademicheskiy District.

The meeting was held on the campus of Ural State Medical University and was attended by Sverdlovsk Oblast Healthcare Minister Igor Trofimov, his first deputy Dilyara Medvedskaya, acting Rector of Ural State Medical University Olga Kovtun, and RSG-Akademicheskoye’s Director-General Viktor Kisselev.

The cluster project covers putting up a new medical school building and a number of clinics on the current premises of Scientific Research Institute for Maternal Health & Child Welfare. The clinics will offer their services to residents of Akademicheskiy District, as well as to other patients. There will also be a techno park and a number of apartment buildings for university faculty and the clinics’ doctors and nurses.
