12 October 2017 (14:52)
UrBC, Yekaterinburg, October 12, 2017. Pervouralsk Duma deputies paid a visit to ChTPZ Group’s Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant (PNTZ) within the framework of Year of the Environment in Russia, the Group’s press service reports.
The deputies went to the plant’s Finishing Center, ChTPZ Group’s Training Center, and the filtering facilities for close-cycle water treatment.
‘PNTZ completed a number of large-scale environmental projects this year, all to do with reducing the plant’s environmental impact, improving atmospheric emissions control, urban development, and natural resources restoration. For one, the plant recently launched special equipment to test samples of pollutants found in water, soil, and air; this equipment cost over RUR 10m to buy. Then, a pilot project on waste sorting was launched at our Finishing Center; five hundred trees were planted in the streets of Pervouralsk; and a new close-cycle water treatment facility got commissioned, which cost some RUR 420m in terms of investments,’ the press service says.
PNTZ proved one of Russia’s top hundred environmentally responsible companies this year. The plant was also awarded Globe International Russia’s Golden Branch.
