PNTZ Hits Ryabinin Rating

15 March 2018 (11:22)

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, March 15, 2018. ChelPipe Group’s Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant (PNTZ) has been featured in the environmental Ryabinin Rating for the second time in a row this year, the Group’s press service reports.

The company also received a thank-you letter from Vladimir Plyusnin, Deputy Chair of the All-Russian Environmental Protection Society’s Sverdlovsk Region division, for its environmental control efforts.

The rating is built upon some ten criteria, including capital investments in conservation, efforts to reduce a company’s emissions and waste production, and a focus on corporate social/environmental projects.

‘PNTZ is an environmentally responsible business with a number of large-scale projects aimed at reducing our environmental footprint. The plant directed over RUR 70m to environmental projects last year alone. The company’s environmental policy has been acknowledged through ten different environmental awards we received in 2017. PNTZ is now among Russia’s one hundred most environmentally conscious companies. We were also awarded the Planet’s Golden Branch Award by Globe International Russia,’ says PNTZ Managing Director Alexei Dronov.

The rating was originally founded by the All-Russian Environmental Protection Society in honor of writer, opinion journalist, and public figure Boris Ryabinin, who focused heavily on environmental protection issues in his writing. The rating has been carried since 2016 and features Sverdlovsk Region-based companies.
