Sverdlovsk Region Plans Next Year’s Budget

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, August 29, 2017. Acting Governor of Sverdlovsk Region Evgeny Kuivashev set up an ad hoc committee to look into local authorities’ proposals on how to handle inter-budgetary transfers from the constituency’s budget funds, Governor of Sverdlovsk Region’s Information Policy Department reports.
Local town councils must submit their inter-budgetary transfer data to the committee by September 5, 2017; Sverdlovsk Region’s Finance Ministry will then coordinate a number budget drafting sessions (to be attended by town council and Sverdlovsk Region Government officials and local deputies) on September 25-October 6.
‘We’ve been coordinating annual budget-drafting sessions with local town council officials for many years now. This is a way to look into every town’s specific problems in detail. Last year, over 4bn RUR got allocated additionally to meet the locals’ needs,’ says Sverdlovsk Region’s Finance Minister Galina Kulachenko.
According to the Finance Ministry, the constituency managed not only to retain but also to increase the amount of inter-budgetary transfers to local towns’ budget funds in the last few years.
