UrBC, Yekaterinburg, November 28, 2017. Sverdlovsk Oblast authorities completed all the coordinating procedures relating to drafting the budget bill for the year 2018, their Information Department reports.

‘Representatives of local governments and town councils as well as deputies and pubic group members all took part in the procedures. Most of the proposals were taken into account when working on the budget balance. The budget also makes provisions for the decrees put forth by the Russian Federation President and the Governor of Sverdlovsk Oblast and for the Five-Year Development Program,’ the Department says.

According to Sverdlovsk Oblast Finance Minister Galina Kulachenko, working together with the local deputies allowed for extra points that resulted in both increased spending and increased revenues. For one, federal budget transfers went up by another RUR 3.9bn, while expense rose by RUR 4.1bn. This means the budget deficit will come to RUR 11.5bn.

The final, second and third, readings of the budget proposal for 2018 will take place on December 5.
