Sverdlovsk Region to Cooperate with Boeing
12 July 2017 (12:56)
UrBC, Yekaterinburg, July 12, 2017. Governor of Sverdlovsk Region Evgeny Kuivashev and President of Boeing Russia & CIS Sergey Kravchenko talked about the ways the constituency and the company could work together during Innoprom 2017 International Industrial Exhibition, Governor of Sverdlovsk Region’s Information Policy Department reports.
‘Boeing’s decision to do business in the area, including some projects with VSMPO Avisma, is crucial to all the parties involved in this mutually beneficial partnership. The opening of the second Ural Boeing Manufacturing Plant in Titanium Valley (a special economic zone) in August 2018 is one example of large-scale international cooperation where both parties prove useful to one another,’ Kuivashev said.
According to the Governor, Boeing’s experience in the area may prove interesting for other international companies specializing in instrument making and manufacturing of aviation goods and components, metal treatment equipment makers, and producers of composite materials and medical equipment.
In Sergey Kravchenko’s opinion, working with Sverdlovsk Region, and the Titanium Valley project in particular, are key to the entire aviation industry.
