Russian Copper Company Upgrades Processing Plant

UrBC, Chelyabinsk, July 10, 2017. Russian Copper Company’s Aleksandrinskaya Ore Mining Company based in Nagaibaksky District, Chelyabinsk Region, is now working to upgrade its processing plant and replace the old vacuum ceramic filter with a new-generation hydraulic press, the company press service reports.
The new filter will reduce moisture content in the copper and zinc concentrate considerably, bringing it down from the current 12% to as little as 8%.
The equipment is scheduled for delivery and assembly in the last quarter of the year. The entire upgrades will cost 45m RUR to go through with.
The Spanish company TN Minerals, Groupo Tecnicas Hidraulicas, S.A.’s daughter enterprise, was chosen as the supplier. The company has been making filters for the mining industry for over fifty years now. Coralina Engineering, the company which has worked with Aleksandrinskaya Ore Mining Company on a number of large projects before, is in charge of the engineering supervision of the filter replacement.
Coralina Engineering is one of Russia and the CIS member states’ largest engineering businesses.
