People’s Workout Championship Ends in Chelyabinsk

UrBC, Chelyabinsk, September 13, 2017. The final rounds of Russian Copper Company’s amateur workout championship were held in Chelyabinsk last week. People’s Championship ended at Yelesina Sports Facility on September 10, the company press service reports.

Over a hundred athletes from Chelyabinsk, Kyshtym, Karabash, Korkino, Pervomayskiy, Kopeysk, Magnitogorsk, Yemanzhelinsk, and other Southern Urals’ towns took part in the final round of the event. All the contestants are winners of the championship’s selection rounds that took place at Russian Copper Company’s workout sites in Chelyabinsk, Kyshtym, Karabash, Korkino, and Pervomaysky in August and September.

Both professional and amateur sports players competed in thee age groups (12-18, 18-30, and 30+) in Power Freestyle, Biathlon, and Triathlon.

Sergey Zhilin from Korkino won the first prize in Freestyle in the 12-18 age group, athletes from Chelyabinsk, including the first-prize winner Ruslan Minachev, proved the strongest in Freestyle in the 18-30 age group.

Askhat Abdullin from Safakulevo was No.1 in Biathlon, Artem Isakov from Chelyabinsk won the first prize in Triathlon in the 12-18 age group. Dmitri Zyryanov from Chelyabinsk won gold in Triathlon in the 18-30 age group, and Timur Titovich from Miass won gold in Triathlon in the 30+ age group.
