Nizhniy Tagil Locals Come to Ural Vagon Zavod’s Event

23 May 2017 (13:35)

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, May 23, 2017. Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation’s head plant in Nizhniy Tagil held a family event at the company museum for several hundred visitors, both locals and tourists, the company press service reports.

Visitors to the event could join a game quest, listen to a presentation of a children’s book called The Adventures of A Little Tank as well as to stories about the Soviet Pioneer movement, take part in games, make asphalt drawings and scribblings, and take a look at Ural Vagon Zavod’s armored vehicles. Also, the Red Banner Epoch Exhibition was opened at the museum on that day.

The book presentation, coordinated by writer Svetlana Lavrova, proved the key feature of the day. Lavrova is also the author of a children’s book called Legends of Ural Vagon Zavod. The plant’s Executive Director Vladimir Roschupkin acted as the publisher for the project.

‘The Adventures of A Little Tank was born rather on itself. I wanted the little residents of Nizhniy Tagil to be proud of the plant their parents work at. I try to make people happier by making them proud of the city they live in,’ Lavrova said.

The quest participants - children and their parents and grandparents who looked for hints for every task among the museum exhibits - were given copies of the book with Lavrova’s autographs.
