The meeting was held with the plant’s trade union committee, with the DG focusing on the current business situation and holding a Q&A session for the committee members.

‘We are currently in a moderately stable state. The corporation was founded ten years ago this year, and has grown to be a key business both in Russia and abroad. We are proud to work here and proud of the goods we make. We do face some difficulties, but things are gradually getting better, and I’m positive everything will get back to normal soon,’ Potapov said.

He pointed out that Ural Vagon Zavod’s key growth strategies have to do with both special-purpose vehicles and civilian goods.

‘Last year, our special-purpose to civilian goods ratio was 80/20; this year, the ratio will likely look more like 70/30, and the goal is to have a 50/50 ratio by 2030,’ he said.
