UrBC, Yekaterinburg, February 13, 2017. MegaFon subscribers based in the Urals tend to call Moscow numbers most often and send texts primarily to numbers registered in Saint Petersburg, the telecommunications provider’s press service refers to its recent analytical findings as indicating.

As for Internet traffic, it turns out that Urals-based users tend to use most of it when traveling to Sochi, Omsk, and Kazan.

‘It is reported that MegaFon Ural subscribers started using increasingly more Internet traffic when traveling around Russia last year, with the overall traffic amount tripling in the last twelve months. The overall amount of long-distance calls also increased by a quarter,’ the press service says.

MegaFon analysts explain this rise in communication traffic has to do with the improved All-Inclusive price offers where mobile Internet connection, voice calls, and texts cost the same as in your home area even when roaming in other parts of the country. Moreover, calls to other MegaFon subscribers within Russia are still free even if you’ve used up your entire voice calls package.
