UrBC, Moscow, January 16, 2017. Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) proved No.1 among Russian manufacturers of galvanized and coated rolled metal products from among ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgical enterprises in the second half of 2016. The usual rating was carried by Metallosnabzheniye I Sbyt magazine.

This is the third time MMK has made it to the top of this rating.

‘The plant became the coated metal goods market leader thanks to its long-term galvanizing and polymeric coating facilities upgrade program. The plant introduced two continuous hot-dip galvanizing units and two polymeric coating units between 2002 and 2011 and an extension to its cold-roll unit (a continuous galvanizing unit and a combined continuous annealing/hot-dip galvanizing unit) in 2012. MMK is now working on yet another continuous hot-dip galvanizing line that will be launched next year and will produce 450,000,000 kg of metal goods a year,’ MMK says.

MMK was also featured among the top three rolled metal sheet producers in the magazine rating for the second half of 2016, while MMK Group’s MMK METIZ was among the top three metal goods manufacturers.
