UrBC, Yekaterinburg, January 26, 2017. Yekaterinburg’s Akademicheskiy District proved the most frequently googled location when it comes to buying a new home in Yekaterinburg, the leading web portal on Russian housing market N1 reports.

Akademichesky was looked up in 7.5% of cases when surfers were trying to find a new home in Yekaterinburg online. Botanichesky District and centrally located apartments got looked up in less than 3.5% and less than 2.1% of cases, respectively.

Existing home market trends look the same: Akademicheskiy is the second most searched-for location, looked up in 6% of cases, while centrally located homes get looked up only 0.2% more often.

In addition to location and good infrastructure, would-be home owners also look at value for money. In this respect, Akademicheskiy is the large-scale housing construction market leader.

The district developer RSG-Akademicheskoye put up 108,000 m2 of new housing there in 2016 and was among the most prolific Ural housing market leaders.
