UrBC, Moscow, December 22, 2016. Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK), Russia’s Natural Resources & Environment Ministry, Federal Nature Management Agency (Rosprirodnadzor), and Sverdlovsk Region Government signed a cooperation agreement that is part of the next year’s Year of the Environment in Russia, the company press service reports.
The paper was signed by Russia’s Natural Resources & Environment Minister Sergei Donskoy, Head of Rosprirodnadzor Artem Sidorov, Governor of Sverdlovsk Region Evgeny Kuivashev, and TMK Director-General Alexander Shiryayev.
According to Donskoy, TMK is expected to invest some 800m RUR in a number of environmental projects to be implemented between 2014 and 2019.
One such project involves Seversky Pipe Plant, one of TMK’s member enterprises. Under the terms of this four-party agreement, the plant will be provided with new noise-insulating ventilation units and gas ducts for its arc furnaces. Additionally, the plant’s pipe-rolling facility will be given a major overhaul, with new thermal treatment, water treatment, multiple water cycle, and manufacturing water filtering equipment.
