UrBC, Yekaterinburg, November 29, 2016. Evraz Holding’s Kachkanar Ore Mining & Processing Enterprise’s Kachkanar Power Station got certified for compliance with the technical regulations for the heating season of 2016/2017, Evraz Holding Ural’s press office reports.
The company directed around 25m RUR to getting the station ready for winter.
‘During the summer repairs, the station got new equipment that meets the strictest standards. Overhauls were given to our steam turbine and turbine power generator, and gas-distributing plant gas ducts got upgraded. Repair and maintenance jobs were also done on boilers, cogeneration plants, appliances for chemical treatment of water, electrical equipment, and automation and communication systems,’ the press office says.
Additionally, the gas-distributing plant was upgraded so as to maintain certain gas pressure in the internal ducts all the time to make sure the pressure is perfect for burning gas in the station boilers. Also, new devices were added to the gas-distributing plant’s control panel, kilometers of new cables were built, and a new feed circuit with two independent power sources was set up as well as an automatically adjusted summertime gas spending unit; all this is expected to ensure the station’s better performance in the summer.
