MegaFon: Ural Companies Rely on Clouds

14 November 2016 (15:01)

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, November 14, 2016. The telecommunications provider MegaFon reports companies based in the Mid-Urals tend to rely on cloud technologies more often than other user categories, the company press service reports.

Starting this year, local companies have been using a hosted PBX six times more often than regular landline options. Based on MegaFon’s statistical data, every one in two new hosted PBX contracts landed within the Greater Urals’ ten federal constituencies get signed with the businesses based in Sverdlovsk Region.

It is reported that Tyumen Region and Chelyabinsk Region are also among the three most cloud-technology-saturated Ural constituencies. These are the trade and construction industry that use cloud technologies most intensively.

‘Quite a few market players are paying increasingly more attention to their customer service and customer retention. A multi-channel hotline, getting all the conversations automatically recorded, a voice menu, call data and detailed accounts of every employee’s performance are the new options that help companies improve their service. Besides, cloud services can save a business up to 1m RUR a year,’ says MegaFon Ural Corporates Development Director Evgeny Ivanov.
