UrBC, Yekaterinburg, August 18, 2016. Head of Yekaterinburg Council Alexander Yakob and VTB Bank’s Deputy President Mikhail Oseyevsky signed a cooperation agreement on August 17, the city council’s website states.
‘The document is an important stage in the development of this partnership between the city of Yekaterinburg and one of Russia’s largest banks. Given the upcoming world football championship of 2018 and the games that will be hosted by Yekaterinburg, infrastructure development and finding investment are the two priorities the bank is willing to help us with,’ Yakob said.
The agreement also provides for the bank’s contribution to the development of modern account settlement technologies and banking infrastructure in Yekaterinburg. The two parties also intend to work together on public utilities services, healthcare, and construction projects.
‘Yekaterinburg is a rather economically advanced territory, with growing construction market, fast infrastructure development, and an impressive amount of investment the city council has managed to attract in the last few years. All this makes the city one of VTB’s key partners for cooperation. I am positive the agreement we signed today will serve as a springboard for enhancing Yekaterinburg’s economic potential,’ said Mikhail Oseyevsky.
