UrBC, Yekaterinburg, May 13, 2016. The team of miners from Yerunakovskaya 8 Mine (the asset of Raspadskaya Coal Company), headed by foremen Alexander Lyane and Mikhail Menshov, was the first among EVRAZ Holding teams to produce 1,000,000,000 kg of coal this year, the company press service reports.

The company management congratulated the miners on their success.

‘This is the first time a team from Yerunakovskaya has achieved the 1,000,000,000 kg target figure in just four months. The miners are working smoothly, manage to avoid accidents and emergencies, and thus set an example for the entire enterprise. The crucial thing is to keep up with this so as to meet the annual target output figures,’ says Raspadskaya Coal Company Director-General Sergei Stepanov.

This amount was produced from lava 48-4, the processing of which required the construction of a new gas-suction plant to enhance safety factors. Combined with our gas-trapping, air humidifying, and aerogas control units, the plant ensures a very safe coal production cycle. Besides, the modern load hopper (by JOY), boring machine (by Deilmann-Haniel), and shuttle car VS-17V all ensure good headwork and clearing speed.
