Koltsovo Airport: Passenger Turnover Down 4.6% in May
11 May 2016 (09:24)
UrBC, Yekaterinburg, May 11, 2016. 115,000 passengers went through Koltsovo Airport during this year’s May break, which was 4.6% less than one year earlier, the airport’s press service reports.
‘The 16.2% increase in the number of domestic flights was thus offset by a drop in the number of international ones. Last year, 24,000 passengers flew to Antalya, Hurghada, and Sharm El Sheikh alone,’ the press service says.
Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Larnaca, Sochi, and Simferopol proved the most popular passenger destinations between April 29 and May 9. The airport staff point out that Cyprus proved the No.1 seaside destination, with 4,300 people flying there this year (compared with only 1,500 passengers one year earlier). As for Sochi and Simferopol, the number of passengers going there this year rose by 12% (4,200 people all in all) and 17% (3,800 people all in all), respectively, against last year.
