UrBC, Yekaterinburg, May 4, 2016. The Invincible Ones. World’s Best Soldiers and Chelyabinsk Region’s Natives, a film dedicated to the Great Patriotic War, was presented to students of Chelyabinsk School 56 by Russian Copper Company and the local TV channel Ural1, the company press service reports.
The film focuses on a number of Chelyabinsk Region-born children playing with toy soldiers and narrating the stories of real-life combatants. Sixteen toy figurines, based on the Great Patriotic War veterans (including the artillerist Mikhail Medyakov from Chelyabinsk, the sailor Ivan Govorukhin from Varna, South Urals, the Marshal of the Soviet Union Boris Shaposhnikov from Zlatoust, and the sniper Natalya Kovshova) were created specially for the movie. The voiceover narration was provided by the musician Oleg Mityaev.
Remarkably, School 56 was actually named after Hero of the Soviet Union Natalya Kovshova.
Director of Ural1 Roman Gribanov and Chelyabinsk Region Legislative Assembly Deputy and Counselor to President of Russian Copper Company Anatoly Yeremin were present at the film’s first showing.
