UrBC, Yekaterinburg, April 8, 2016. Yekaterinburg residents typically look for jobs on the Internet, Zarplata.ru’s research findings indicate.
According to the website’s survey, 79% of respondents believe using recruitment websites and submitting their applications there is the most efficient way to find a job, 67% think the strategy is to submit one’s CV online in the hope that an employer will get interested, and 40% prefer looking for job ads on a potential employer’s website and sending their CVs at the provided email address.
The more conservative job-searching strategies came next: 28% of those surveyed said they would need to find an employer’s number and contact them directly, 26% would ask their friends and acquaintances’ assistance, 8% would go to an employment center, and 6% would go to a job fair.
As it happens, 64% of Yekaterinburg residents surveyed have never been to an employment center. Those who did were primarily interested in help with job-seeking (80%), professional development training (18%), unemployment benefits (42%), and job counseling (3%). As few as 2% applied for psychological help. 45% of those who used employment agencies found the help they needed there.
