Ural Vagon Zavod Gets Ready for Tankprom 3

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, April 7, 2016. Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation started getting ready for Tankprom 3, an all-Russian research to practice conference to be held in Nizhniy Tagil in early October, the company press service reports.

The event is also coordinated by the Moscow-based Association for Promotion of Science & Technology Museums Amnit, Moscow-based S.I. Vavilov Institute of the History of Natural Science and Technology, Moscow’s Polytechnic Museum, and the Saint Petersburg-based Military Historical Museum of Artillery, Engineers and Signal Corps.

Representatives of the country’s museum community, the national tank industry historians, and museum workers from the corporation member enterprises’ museums are all welcome to take part in the event. Experts from the Russian Federal Security Service’s Central Archive, the Russian Academy of Sciences’ Economics Institute, S.I. Vavilov Institute of the History of Natural Science and Technology, Polytechnic Museum, and Ural State University of Architecture and Art have already submitted their participant applications.

The conference will feature research, exhibition, and archive projects implemented in 2015-2016, currently under way, or planned for the near future. They will all be dedicated to the tank industry’s history and the history of related economic sectors as well as to Tankprom’s cooperation with science and education sectors and its general civilization impact.
