Ural Vagon Zavod Presents Tankprom Museum at Conference

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, December 14, 2016. Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation presented its Tankprom Museum project at the 10th International Research-to-Practice Vehicle History & Museology Conference in Moscow. According to the company press service, the conference was coordinated by Polytechnic Museum, the Russian Academy of Sciences’ S.I. Vavilov Institute of the History of Natural Science & Technology, and the Association for Science Museum Development (AMNIT).

There were four sections to this conference: History of Vehicle Development, Museology, Museum Source Studies, and Today’s Museum Practices. Reports were made by representatives of Russian and foreign organizations, museums, and science and education centers from all over Russia.

Ural Vagon Zavod Museum’s expert Svetlana Neimysheva presented her report on the themed arrangement of their exhibition hall dedicated to design and production of armed vehicles and weaponry in the USSR and Russia in Museology Section. Neimysheva spoke about one of the six exhibition halls that are expected to get opened at Tankprom Museum in 2020, in time for the tank industry’s 100th anniversary.

Twenty reports were presented in this section altogether.
