UrBC, Yekaterinburg, March 14, 2016. Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation adopted a head plant retooling program for the year 2016, the company press service reports.

More than 2bn RUR have been allocated for the purpose this year, which is comparable with last year’s figures. This is expected to cover purchase and delivery of up-to-date technological equipment and capital construction costs (the preparations necessary for the installation of and power supply for the new machines).

‘Just like in the previous years, the new equipment will be obtained for all of the head plant’s primary production departments, including the mechanical assembly one, the railcar assembly one, and the metallurgical one. Special attention will be paid to retooling of our IT Center as well, with 110 new equipment units to be purchased,’ the press service says.

This year, the company will also keep working on its earlier retooling projects and buying new machinery prescribed by surveillance authorities. All this is expected to help Ural Vagon Zavod reach its strategic goals: improvements in product quality, environmental and industrial safety, breakthroughs onto new markets, and establishing new partnerships.
